NewsInterpol showcase new album in LondonInterpol showcased a series of new tracks from their forthcoming album tonight (July 2) for a one-off show in London. The Astoria gig, which coincided with the release of the New York four-piece's new single 'The Heinrich Maneuver' gave the band a chance to warm up for this weekend's appearance at T In The Park and Oxegen, as they played four new songs from 'Our Love To Admire'. Kicking off with album opener 'Pioneer To The Falls', Interpol went on to perform 'Mammoth', 'Rest My Chemistry' and their new single. The four-piece's set also borrowed heavily from their debut 'Turn On The Bright Lights' and 2004 LP 'Antics'. Although singer Paul Banks said very little throughout the gig, he did thank the crowd on several occasions and commented on how "special" they were. Along with crowd favourites 'Slow Hands', 'NYC' and 'Stella Was A Diver And She Was Always Down', the band received the biggest cheer when they belted out hit single, 'Evil' before closing the show with an extended intro into 'PDA' Suge Knight to Britney's defence Suge Knight has Britney's back ... and Kevin Federline best watch his! TMZ spotted the rapresario chewing out a K-Fed lookalike outside of club Area last night, mistaking him for the real thing while screaming, "He's a bitch!" and "Britney's my homegirl!" at the unlucky doppleganger. As he pulled out of the driveway he told our cameras, "That fool want to act f**ked up with Britney, act weird about her kids, we'll chase his ass up out this city!" -- Be warned K-Fed, or end up the next Vanilla Ice! |
